George Dellinger
George came to UNC Charlotte in 2012 and worked in the College of Health and Human Services and the College of Computing and Informatics before joining CLAS in 2018. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in industrial technology as well as a master’s degree in school administration. His experience in education spans 20 years; he originally began as a K-12 teacher before moving into higher education, where he has had the opportunity to work with both public and private institutions at the associate and baccalaureate levels. He believes that there is no greater tool than education for an individual to possess in order to be a flourishing, contributing, member of society, and he takes great pride in helping others achieve their goals. George is the proud father of two children and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible. He also enjoys taking trips to the coast, the occasional round of golf, music and movies regardless of genre, barbecuing, and is an avid Panthers fan.
